A fair use statement, or fair use disclaimer, is a statement disclosing that a website or other content contains copyrighted material, yet it's allowed to be used under the Fair Use Doctrine. It will state how the copyrighted material is being used, such as for teaching, parodying, criticizing, commenting, researching or reporting.
