Terms and Conditions for getkorys.com

Terms and Conditions for KORYS App and KORYS Junior

Last updated: October 11, 2026

1. Operator, services and agreement

These terms apply to KORYS App, KORYS Junior and the related services offered at getkorys.com, korysapp.com and korysjunior.com, including exercises, AI coach conversations, voice features and WhatsApp interactions where available.

The operator is Intercept, Tapuitstraat 54C, 3083 WS Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 75199955. Contact: [email protected]. Intercept remains the contracting party unless a lawful transfer is specifically communicated. A future KORYS company is not automatically the current operator.

Read these terms before using the services. Where an account, purchase or particular feature requires acceptance, you must accept the terms presented for that action. A purchase confirmation and any clearly agreed additional terms form part of the relevant contract. A separate signed business agreement prevails for the matters it expressly covers; mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Our Privacy Policy explains data processing. Acknowledging that policy or accepting these terms is not consent to optional analytics, marketing, recording or publication of your conversations.

2. Age and parental involvement

KORYS App is for adults aged 18 or older. KORYS Junior is for users aged 13 or older, particularly ages 13–17. Neither product is offered to children under 13.

If you are under the age at which you can enter the relevant agreement independently in your country, a parent or legal guardian must authorise it. Paid Junior subscriptions must be purchased by an adult or an authorised organisation. Paying for access does not automatically authorise every processing activity concerning a young user.

The age for independently giving privacy consent varies by country and is different from the minimum product age. In the Netherlands, consent-based processing for a child under 16 requires consent or authorisation from a parent or legal guardian. EU digital-consent ages vary between 13 and 16; other countries may apply different requirements. Required permissions must be obtained and appropriately verified before the relevant processing or feature is used. Optional analytics requires its own choice.

A particular feature can have a higher minimum age or additional conditions because of local law or provider rules. ElevenLabs-powered features directed at users under 18 require ElevenLabs' written approval for that use, together with the applicable permissions and safeguards. Until those conditions are satisfied, a user under 18 must not use that ElevenLabs-powered interaction. Junior's 13+ product age does not override this restriction. WhatsApp users must also satisfy WhatsApp's own eligibility rules.

Give accurate eligibility information and do not bypass age, permission or safety controls. If eligibility cannot be established, we may restrict the affected feature while the issue is resolved. These terms do not represent that every feature is approved or available in every country.

3. What KORYS does and the limits of AI

KORYS offers educational exercises and AI-supported reflection to help you examine everyday choices. The coaches, including Marcus, Kyra, Leon and Maya where presented, are AI characters, not human professionals. Synthetic voices and images do not mean a real person is speaking to you.

AI responses can be wrong, incomplete, unsuitable or inconsistent. Check important information and use your own judgement. No specific personal, educational, health, financial or commercial outcome is guaranteed. KORYS is not a medical, psychological, legal, investment or other regulated professional-advice service, and it is not a substitute for qualified advice or meaningful human support.

KORYS is not an emergency service. An AI call cannot connect you to emergency services. For immediate danger, contact the emergency services in your location directly; in the EU, call 112. Young users should involve a safe, trusted adult when they need help. Calls and messages are not guaranteed to be monitored by a human or answered immediately.

Do not use KORYS output as the sole basis for a decision with significant legal, health, financial or safety consequences, or to determine another person's eligibility for education, work, credit, healthcare or similar opportunities.

4. Calls, messages and conversation privacy

A voice conversation requires microphone access and processing of the audio and conversation context needed to generate the response. Our AI voice services use ElevenLabs and the providers in the selected configuration. Transcripts, audio recordings and conversation history may be retained where the relevant settings are enabled. The Privacy Policy describes these data categories and the applicable rights; do not assume that a call is never recorded or that all data is deleted immediately.

A feature requiring recording consent or another permission may be used only after the required notice and permission. Acceptance of these terms alone does not provide it. You can decline to start an AI call and contact us by email for questions about the service; email support is not a promise of equivalent human coaching.

WhatsApp availability depends on the relevant integration, the platform and your account eligibility. Your phone number and messages are processed when you contact us through that channel. WhatsApp's own terms and privacy practices also apply. Your mobile, internet or telephone provider may charge for connectivity; any additional KORYS charge must be disclosed before purchase.

Do not send passwords, payment card or bank account numbers, government identity numbers, detailed medical records or other unnecessarily sensitive information to a coach. Do not submit another person's private information or voice without the necessary rights and permissions.

A parent, school, employer or other payer does not automatically receive private conversation content merely by paying. Applicable legal duties, valid guardian rights and lawful authority requests are handled separately. The service does not guarantee absolute confidentiality in all circumstances.

Ordinary coach calls and WhatsApp messages are not consent to publish, broadcast or turn your contribution into a podcast. Public contributions, testimonials or recordings require a separate clear arrangement and all necessary permissions, including the applicable permissions for minors.

5. Purchases, subscriptions and cancellation

Only the offer actually presented at checkout or in an agreed order applies. Before a paid order, it must state the product, included features and usage limits, total price including applicable taxes, billing period, any minimum commitment, renewal arrangements and cancellation method. These terms do not create a paid plan or a free trial where none has been offered.

Where you choose a recurring subscription, it renews on the disclosed terms until cancelled. A trial converts to paid access only if that arrangement and the amount and date of the charge were clearly disclosed and validly accepted beforehand. We will not retrospectively change an accepted trial into a different paid arrangement without the required agreement.

You can request cancellation of future renewal through the cancellation facility offered for your subscription or by emailing [email protected] with enough information to identify it. Unless your offer or mandatory law provides otherwise, cancellation ends renewal and access continues until the end of the paid period. We will confirm the effective date. If a third-party store manages the subscription, its cancellation route may also be needed; contact us if you need help finding it.

Deleting a browser shortcut, uninstalling an app or ceasing to use it does not by itself cancel a subscription. Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate requests; you may request both together. We do not require you to surrender data-protection rights to cancel.

A price change can apply only prospectively, with the notice and cancellation rights required by your contract and applicable law. Failure of a payment may lead to a notice and proportionate restriction of paid access. Disputed charges and billing errors can be reported to [email protected].

6. Consumer rights, withdrawal and refunds

Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer rights, including rights when digital content or a digital service is faulty, not as described or not supplied as agreed. Where applicable, you may be entitled to correction, a price reduction, termination or a refund. Refund rights are not limited to our discretion.

For an eligible EEA distance purchase, you generally have 14 days from concluding the service contract to withdraw, subject to the applicable rules and exceptions. If you expressly request a service to start during that period, a proportionate charge for what was lawfully supplied may apply. For a service, loss of the withdrawal right generally requires full performance and the applicable prior express request or consent and acknowledgement. For immediately supplied digital content, a different exception may apply only when the required prior express consent, acknowledgement of loss and contract confirmation have been obtained. Simply accepting these terms or logging in is not a blanket waiver.

To withdraw, email [email protected] or write to our address in section 1 with a clear statement that you withdraw, identifying the purchase and its date. You can use this optional wording: 'I hereby withdraw from my contract for [service], ordered on [date]. Name: [name]. Contact details: [details]. Date: [date].' No special form is required. Applicable refunds are made within the legally required period, normally using the original payment method unless you agree otherwise without an extra fee.

Other countries may provide additional or different mandatory rights. A refund policy shown in an offer can provide more favourable rights; it cannot remove legal entitlements.

7. Accounts and acceptable use

Where an account is offered, keep its details accurate and protect the login. Report suspected unauthorised access promptly. Do not impersonate others, share access in violation of your plan, abuse coaches or other people, infringe rights, distribute illegal material, interfere with the service or bypass security, age rules, payment controls or usage limits.

Access does not permit you to redistribute KORYS content commercially, resell access or use it to build a competing dataset or AI model without a separate licence. Schools and businesses must use the licences actually agreed for them.

8. Content and intellectual property

KORYS branding, software, exercises, coach characters and other protected content belong to Intercept or the relevant rights holders. You receive a limited permission to use the content for the purpose and duration of your agreed access. Copyright exceptions and other statutory rights remain unaffected.

You retain any rights you have in your own submitted content. You grant us and the necessary service providers only the permission needed to process it to provide the requested interaction and handle the lawful operational purposes described in the Privacy Policy. This does not authorise public marketing or model training with private conversations. Do not assume an AI response is unique, accurate, copyright-protected or free of third-party rights.

9. Availability, changes and suspension

Features, languages and channels may vary by product, plan, country and technical availability. A visible link does not guarantee that an integration has been activated. Planned features are not part of a purchase unless expressly included in the accepted offer.

We may perform maintenance and make reasonable improvements. For material changes to a paid digital service, we will follow applicable contractual and legal requirements, including notice and termination or refund rights where required. We may proportionately suspend a feature for a credible security issue, unlawful use, missing required permission or a provider restriction. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide a route to resolve it.

If we discontinue paid access for reasons unrelated to your breach, we will refund the unused prepaid portion where required and respect any other applicable rights. Suspension does not remove rights to make a complaint or a data request.

10. Responsibility and disputes

We remain responsible for supplying the service in accordance with the agreement and mandatory law. These terms do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer protections. We do not impose a blanket US-dollar liability cap, an automatic personal indemnity or a waiver of legal remedies on consumers.

You remain responsible for your own use and decisions, subject to your legal capacity and applicable law. A minor is not treated as having the contractual capacity of an adult solely because they used Junior. Any further allocation of business liability must be separately agreed and lawful.

Dutch law governs the agreement insofar as applicable. If you are a consumer, this choice does not remove the mandatory protections or courts available to you under the law applicable to your habitual residence. No compulsory arbitration is imposed by these terms.

Please send complaints to [email protected] so we can investigate and propose a solution. This does not prevent you from contacting a competent regulator, consumer body or court.

11. Updates and contact

We show the revision date above. Changes apply prospectively, with notice or renewed acceptance where required. Updating this page does not automatically change an existing paid contract or provide new consent for data processing. An unenforceable provision does not remove your mandatory rights or automatically invalidate the rest of the agreement.

For support, privacy, cancellation, withdrawal or complaints, contact [email protected], or write to Intercept, Tapuitstraat 54C, 3083 WS Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
